NEW VOTING PROCESS FOR SC VOTERS!

The Municipal Election Commission of the City of Columbia announces the general election for the City of

Columbia to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. In-Person absentee voting begins on Monday, October 7,

2019 and runs through Monday, November 4, 2019, at the Richland County Elections & Voter Registration Of f ice

at 2020 Hampton Street, Columbia SC. 29204. Voting occurs between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday through

Friday. You must bring your photo identification with you in order to vote in-person absentee.

To vote absentee by mail, request an application for yourself for your immediate family member from the

Richland County Elections & Voter Registration office by phone (803-576-2240), mail (PO Box 5330, Columbia,

SC 29250) , email ([email protected]) , or fax (803-576-2249) . You wi l l be mailed an application.


You must now complete and sign the application and return it to the Richland County Elections & Voter

Registration Of f ice by mail, email, fax, or personal delivery. You should return the application as soon as

possible but no later than 5:00 p.m. on the 4th-day prior to the election (the 4th day is Friday for all Tuesday

elections). You wi l l receive your absentee ballot in the mail. Vote the bal lot fol lowing the bal lot instructions

and return it to the Richland County Elections & Voter Registration Of f ice by 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November

5, 2019. You may return the ballot personally or by mail. You may also have another person return the ballot

for you, but you must first complete an authorization to return absentee ballot form, available from the

Richland County Elections & Voter Registration Office.
