Tameika Devine

City Councilwoman Tameika Isaac Devine is a founding partner in the law firm of Jabber & Isaac, PA, where she practices in the areas of real estate, probate and business transactions. She is the founder of The Possibilities Institute, a peak performance consulting, coaching and public speaking firm that specializes in working with women leaders and mothers. Mrs. Devine is a graduate of Spring Valley High School. She received her undergraduate degree in Business Management from Hampton University and her Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law.


Mrs. Devine is the first African-American female to serve on City Council and the first African- American to be elected At-Large in 2002. She serves on numerous boards, commissions and civic organizations, including a past member of the Board of Visitors for Columbia College and the board of Junior Achievement. She is also a 2002 graduate of Leadership Columbia, sponsored by the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Devine is also a member of the Liberty Fellowship class of 2013.
