The Congaree Vista

Columbia Art Studio Project

Historic Columbia Firehouse
The Columbia Fire Department Headquarters was widely touted as the most advanced fire department in the country in 1952.  Now CDC is a member of a partnership to create a mixed use project including retail, office and residential units.

701 Whaley Street
Constructed as a store in 1903, the building was later expanded and became the Pacific Community Association Building.  Renovations are now underway for this project to become mixed use office and retail space.

 

Fuel Cell District - Innovista

Horizon Center consists of office and laboratory space in two buildings, Horizon I and Horizon II, along with a 1,000-space parking deck. The Horizon site is located at the city's most prominent intersection and across from the University of South Carolina's state-of-the-art Wellness and Fitness Center. Horizon II, a privately developed five-story, 110,000-square-foot office/dry lab building, will include private-sector firms and governmental units with collaborative University research relationships.  Click Here to explore more of the Horizon II.

Discovery Plaza - Discovery I -

Rosewood Commons -

Rosewood Hills
This redevelopment project connects and extends the Rosewood community. The extended community will include 60 single-family homes, 32 town homes, 52 senior apartments, 26 apartments (over retail shops) and 22 duplex units. Fifty-nine (59) of the new units will be market-rate and available for purchase by anyone and the remainder of the units will be assisted/affordable housing units.  (The retail element will be along Rosewood Drive.)

The restoration of a historic school in Shandon, the oldest of Columbia's neighborhoods.
